(Figure 1, Proportional pump detail)
Product Installation
1. Choose the location: the water inlet and water outlet of the proportional pump must be in accordance with those of the main pipe.
2. Proportional pump must be installed according to the method that the proportional pump is above the fluid intake tube.
3. Fix the proportional pump to a wall or other facilities.
4. Install the water inlet and outlet of the proportional pump according to the direction of water flow, to ensure its leak-proofness. (As shown in figure 2 and 3 below)
5. Install 100-120 mesh screen between the inlets of water valve and proportional pump.
6. Crack sound will be heard when proportional pump begins to work. Currently, push the air vent valve on the top of the proportional pump and release the valve when small amount of water flows out. In this way, normal operation of doser can be ensured.

Dosing Unit Usage
Dosing Unit
The dosing unit pump can adjust the RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor proportion in water according to actual situations, to achieve the best effect of the RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor. Specific ways are as follows:
1. Loosen the screw and take off the U-style adjusting lock from the upper part of the proportional pump.
2. Read the instructions of the Rust Inhibitor to determine the proportion of liquid RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor and water and adjust the proportion of the on the dosing unit:
- A clockwise adjustment is to decrease the proportion of liquid RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor.
- A counterclockwise adjustment is to increase the proportion of liquid RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor
The percentage on the dosing unit is calculated on the basis that the final water yield of the dosing unit is 100.
3. Please turn the regulator until the hole above the U-style adjusting lock is inserted into the notch of the proportional pump.
4. Press the U-model adjusting lock hard into the upper notch of the proportional pump until each other is locked tightly.

RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor Rust Inhibitor
1. It is important to use a rust inhibitor when wet blasting to prevent flash rusting. It does this by forming a non-greasy invisible film on the metal surface. The film passivates the metal surface and inhibits the formation of superficial flash rust. RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor is a double concentrate rust inhibitor requiring only half the strength of solution compared to most other products on the market. Most applications require just 0.2% rust inhibitor in relation to water. In other words, a 20 litre can provides 4000 litres of the solution.
2. If using any other brand of rust inhibitor, always read the manufacturer’s instruction and the material safety data sheet.
3. When the dosing unit is used with the RapidBlast™ Dustless Blasting Equipment, it is recommended that the rust inhibitor be mixed inside the pressure vessel with the abrasive media and water. This prevents flash rusting developing even while blasting.
4. Once the wet blasting process is complete, switch from blast mode to wash mode. This stops the flow of abrasive media and allows a mixture of water and rust inhibitor only to be sprayed propelled with the impact of the compressed air. The rust inhibitor passivates the surface and forms protective layer to prevent flash rusting. A good quality rust inhibitor such as RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor will not affect the adhesion of the protective coating.
Product Maintenance
1. Make sure that the container holding the liquid RapidHold™ Rust Inhibitor™ Rust Inhibitor is not empty during the use of the automatic proportional pump!
2. Air release valve: It is necessary to press down the air release valve for several seconds to vent the air already existing inside when initially starting the proportional pump. During this process, there may be a little water flowing out. Close the valve quickly after the air is expelled from it.
3. If the working resistance grows bigger while using, then lubricating oil should be added at the piston to increase the service life.
4. The dosing unit should be washed with clean water after using to reduce corrosion and extend the service life of the dosing unit pump.
Product Replacement
1. To replace the plastic sealing ring, it needs to be put into 75°C water for 2 minutes before installing it in the pump.
2. Make sure the filter plant is installed at the inlet of the dosing unit while installing and using.
3. Add a few turns of Teflon tape to the helix of the male hose each time before connecting the male and female hoses to ensure a tight seal.
