Rust Inhibitor Dosing Unit - Installation Manual

Product Installation

  • Choose the location: the water inlet and water outlet of the dosing unit must be in accordance with those of the main pipe.

  • Dosing unit must be installed according to the method that the dosing unit is above the fluid intake tube.

  • Fix the dosing unit to a wall or other facilities.

  • Install the water inlet and outlet of the dosing unit according to the direction of water flow, to ensure its leak-proofness. (As shown in figure 2 and 3 below)

  • Install 100-120 mesh screen between the inlets of water valve and dosing unit.

  • When the addition of drugs is required, close the side branch valves of the dosing unit. The addition of drugs can be carried out when the valves on both sides of the dosing unit are opened.

  • Crack sound will be heard when dosing unit begins to work. Currently, push the air vent valve on the top of the dosing unit and release the valve when small amount of water flows out. In this way, normal operation of doser can be ensured.

Product Maintenance

  • Make sure that the container holding the liquid rust inhibitor is not empty during the use of the automatic dosing unit!

  • Air release valve: It is necessary to press down the air release valve for several seconds to vent the air already existing inside when initially starting the dosing unit. During this process, there may be a little water flowing out. Close the valve quickly after the air is expelled from it.

  • If the working resistance grows bigger while using, then lubricating oil should be added at the piston to increase the service life.

  • The dosing unit should be washed with clean water after using to reduce corrosion and extend the service life of the dosing unit.

Product Replacement

  • To replace the plastic sealing ring, it needs to be put into 75°C water for 2 minutes before installing it in the pump.

  • Make sure the filter plant is installed at the inlet of the dosing unit while installing and using.

  • Add a few turns of Teflon tape to the helix of the male hose each time before connecting the male and female hoses to ensure a tight seal.
